Off the coast of Maharashtra in Raigad, a suspicious boat with AK-47 assault rifles and other weapons was discovered. Disassembled weaponry was discovered in the boat close to Raigad's Harihareshwar Beach, according to the officials.
Aditi Tatkare, a Raigad MLA, reported asking Maharashtra Chief Minister for a special investigation into the event. She added that the event is a serious security concern because it occurs the day before a significant celebration.
"Dahi Handi is tomorrow, and Ganeshotsav is in just ten days. During these celebrations, people visit this area. Security is a crucial concern, "Ms. Tatkare informed the press.
Locals discovered the empty boat 190 kilometers from Mumbai and informed security services.
Ashok Dudhe, the chief of police in Raigad, and other senior officials rushed the spot and searched the boat.
The cops recovered three AK-47 rifles and a few rounds on the boat and are continuing their investigation.
Police are on high alert, and security has been reinforced in the area.
